The progression of intelligent technologies, including Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), is propelling our social environment towards a more digital and intelligent era. The transformative influence of this intelligent era has substantially modified work paradigms and the allocation of work roles, thereby generating novel demands for human resources within society. This shift in demand has initiated a reassessment of educational content, the development of innovative learning methodologies, and an adaptive realignment of educational philosophies, culminating in a comprehensive revolution in teaching and learning practices.
On-Demand Learning Strategy is emerging as a potential to achieve such revolution. This strategy focuses on customizing the learning journey to individual needs and keeping pace with the changing demands of society. The focus is on delivering learning content and methods that are tailored, timely, and relevant, guaranteeing that the content and methods are flexible and adaptable to optimize learning outcomes. The implementation of On-Demand Learning Strategy emphasizes the use of technology and tools. It employs state-of-the-art technology like AI, digital tools, even virtual reality to accelerate the learning process and enhance the efficiency of skill training. The goal is to make learning as immediate and applicable as possible, whether it is for work or real-life scenarios. The implementation of On-Demand Learning Strategy is inherently linked to the advancement of Smart Learning Environments.
NetDragon Websoft. In association with International Association of Smart Learning Environments (IASLE), is calling for proposals for a collaborative research project. This project will be dedicated to the exploration and enhancement of smart learning environments, with a specific focus on “On-Demand Learning and Smart Learning,” and “the application of Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC) within educational contexts. ”
Funded by NetDragon, the project will endeavor to drive the development and innovation of smart learning environments. We cordially invite global experts and scholars in the education sector to contribute to this project and collectively investigate the future trajectory of educational technology.
This project aims to maintain an open approach to research directions and encourages free exploration within the following two themes:
- On-Demand Learning and smart learning: Discuss the conceptual understanding and practical implementation of On-Demand Learning, with a focus on its integration with smart learning environments.
- AIGC Applications in Education: Investigate the application of AIGC in the educational field, including its potential in teaching, assessment, and the generation of learning resources.
Each research theme will be divided into two or three sub-projects, with each sub-project focusing on either On-Demand Learning and smart learning, or AIGC applications in education. One scholar will be invited to collaborate on each sub-project, taking the lead in theoretical academic research and overseeing the process of joint article publications.
Each sub-project is allocated a budget between $8,000 and$15,000. The exact budget will be further negotiated based on the complexity of the individual research project. Based on the agreement with the individual participant, an initial funding will be provided to initiate the research. Additionally, partial research funds will be distributed at various stages of the work. The remaining research funds will be released upon the publication of the findings.
Experts and scholars with research expertise in educational technology, computer science, AIGC technologies or related fields are particularly welcome. The proposals will be reviewed as they are received and will be responded to in a timely manner.
