With ICSLE 2026 just around the corner, the Organizing Committee has released the Participant Information Guide to help attendees prepare for a smooth and enjoyable experience in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The 10th International Conference on Smart Learning Environments will take place on October 19–20, 2026, hosted by the National Pedagogical University of Uzbekistan named after Nizami (NPUU).
Conference Venue
- All conference activities — registration, keynote and parallel sessions, coffee breaks, lunches, and networking activities — will be held on the university campus
Address Detail: The main campus address of the National Pedagogical University of Uzbekistan named after Nizami is 27 Bunyodkor Shokh Street, Chilanzar District, Tashkent, 100185 (located near the Chilanzar metro station)
Travel to Uzbekistan
- Check visa requirements before traveling.

- Tashkent International Airport is the main entry point for most participants.
- Airport exchange services and ATMs are available upon arrival and in the most of the hotels

Accommodation
- As you are responsible for booking accommodation yourself, we can only recommend the hotels near the university area as it could be cheaper and takes less time to travel. At the same you can book a hotel downtown in a more touristy area.
Currency and Payments
Local currency: Uzbek Som (UZS).
- 1 USD equals 11,752.52 UZS using the current mid-market exchange rate
- 1 CNY equals 1,758.2 UZS using the current mid-market exchange rate
Currency exchange is available at airports, banks, hotels and exchange offices.
!!! Please keep in mind that most hotels and large restaurants accept international bank cards (VISA, Mastercard etc) and do not change more than you can spend.
Food and Dining
- Lunches and coffee breaks will be provided on campus during conference days.
- Vegetarian and special dietary options should be communicated to organizers in advance.
- Local cuisine is very diverse and includes plov, lagman, samsa and shashlik and you can visit plenty of the café and restaurants in the downtown , although not many of them are near the university area.
Internet and Mobile Connectivity
- Wi-Fi will be available at the conference venue.
- Local SIM cards can be purchased at the airport and city service centers.
Weather
Tashkent in mid-October is usually mild, sunny, and pleasant during the day with noticeably cool nights.
- Daytime highs: Average around 18°C to 23°C (64°F to 73°F).
- Nighttime lows: Drop to a chilly 8°C to 12°C (46°F to 54°F).
Participants should check the weather forecast before travel and bring appropriate clothing and comfortable walking shoes.
Sightseeing Opportunities
- Popular attractions include Khast Imam Complex, Chorsu Bazaar and Tashkent City Park.
- Participants extending their stay may consider visiting Samarkand or Bukhara.
