1. Background

Educational systems generally and the developed educational technologies particularly face a persistent gap since evidence-based practices often fail to scale or fade quickly due to the focus on short-term impact rather than on how learning actually happens and also lack of alignment with the Science of Learning (SoL) principals, including spacing and interleaving, retrieval practice, among others. Therefore, creating sustainable educational ecosystems requires embedding SoL into curriculum design, teacher development and practices, assessment models, and digital tools and infrastructure.

This webinar will explore how bridging SoL with systems thinking can transform fragmented reforms into resilient, adaptive, and effective learning environments. Specifically, it will discuss insights and results from different regional network activities on how SoL could contribute to effective and sustainable educational ecosystems.
